Book Dubai Mall: A Mall Like No Other by Assouline
Description
It all started with a vision. A vision for a retail destination of unrivaled quality in the center of Downtown Dubai, the de facto zone of all things revolutionary. Thus, in 2008, spanning 550,000 square meters spread over four levels and housing more than 1,200 points of sale, the Dubai Mall opened its doors. The mall, in the shadow of Burj Khalifa, is the beating heart of an already industrious Downtown Dubai, with the Dubai Opera, Waterfront Promenade, Dubai Fountain and Burj Park. Perhaps this is why Emaar Properties founder Mohamed Ali Alabbar describes Dubai Mall as “a city within a city”.
In fact, the Dubai Mall is a horizontal city, bringing together the worlds of shopping, entertainment, culture and hospitality under one roof. The mall's retail offering is unrivaled, with its shining jewel, Fashion Avenue, home to over two hundred boutiques of the most sought-after brands. Not to mention the mall's many entertainment options: the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo; Dubai Ice Rink; At the top, Burj Khalifa; Zabeel sports district; and Dubai Dino. Then there are the unlimited dining options. And for a particularly memorable experience, Souk Al Bahar, an Arabic-style dining and entertainment complex, is an ideal choice for immersing yourself in the region's rich cultural heritage.
But this shopping and leisure gem is more than just wide boulevards, incredible attractions and breathtaking atriums: it is the epitome of five-star service and hospitality, going beyond the expectations to take care of every comfort. Constantly growing, evolving and expanding, the Dubai Mall never ceases to surprise. Explore the many wonders of Downtown Dubai in the pages of Dubai Mall: A Mall Like No Other, with original photography by Oliver Pilcher.
