      About the Author

      Nevbahar Koç was born and raised on the Bosphorus. She lived in Los Angeles for many years and earned a degree in fine arts from Loyola Marymount University. She currently serves on the board of directors of Aç?kkap? Social Responsibility Association to help children deprived of fundamental and social rights. Living in Istanbul with her family, she has welcomed many friends from all over the world to her magical city. His passion for art, design and photography, combined with his love of Istanbul, are the inspiration behind this book. Şrem Kānay collaborated on several books with Assouline, including The Grand Bazaar Istanbul, The Light of Istanbul and Ottoman Chic. Her passion for the arts and for books led her to completely change careers, moving from banking and finance to becoming a partner at Assouline in Turkey. Since its opening in 2010, Assouline Istanbul has been a destination for a wide range of titles as well as specially selected accessories for sophisticated libraries. K?nay's sense of style has also translated into numerous collaborations with artists and designers exclusively for Assouline.
